DIARY DIRI 20/09/04

Sakit gigi or more accurately sakit gusi/sore gums...even after last week treatment, gum masih sakit sangat, mendodoi dibuat yer but still come to the office....I will fight through this pain andhopefully it will creates its natural antibody to fight this sore gums..ouchhhh!!...

...tomorrow bawa emak gei hospital for check-up so ada chance nak tengok MU vs Liverpool game subuh selasa....huhuhu...

...Malaysia Idol...tengok gak Friday show and overly impressed with Vic and Jac....Dina's perfomance ?!! so so.....Andrew's?? I like his couldn't care less attitude and he actually sang that song over and above his ability in his own way of interpreting the song....Saipul?!!...I quite enjoy his performance but apparently the critics did not...so on Sunday I watched the result and Saipul was voted out and Andrew survived....well, my prediction is very clear, Vic will go through to the final 2 and probably Jac or Andrew to accompany him....Dina ??...can't see how she will garner enough vote to go through to the Final 3....talent wise, Jac is in a different league but true to the Malaysia Boleh spirit!!!...she will not win this one.....hope to be proven wrong....

...ahak ahak......managed to watch the Rentak Juara competition over RTM2 and though the rock band still very much the faeture of the show, the top performer was actually a contemporary brand comprising young and talented bandboy, can't recall the name of the band but they performed last and somehow I have feeling this band is actually anak didik the Booty Boys.....good frontliners and technical sound plus beautiful song arrangement.....the final will be showed live on Oct 12 from Stadium Negara....a must see event.....

...untuk pertama kali aku tengok sikit Debat Perdana, a forum consisting panel from the local political parties....interesting concept but I had to attend to other things and managed only to listen the 1st 10 minutes of the debate....Johan Jaafar( formerly Utusan Malaysia) was the chairman and the representative from the political parties were quite impressive with YB Dr.Tan and YB Hussam Musa ( touted to be the next MB for kelantan) and a Pemuda umno exco together with a professor from UNITAR and the topic was PERPADUAN....in Malaysian context , perpaduan means the racial intergration or racial harmonious....

EPL

...emmmm...Bolton 2 - Arsenal 2 was the pick of the bunch.....Bolton my current favourite team played extremely well to hold mighty Arsenal to a draw....after last week's disappointment when they drew 2-2 to MU when MU equalised right at the death, Bolton were quite professional in the last final minutes and in Okocha, they have a real world class player.....Chelsea drew nil all with Spurs and i was really surpised and impressed with the new look Spurs team ......even Liverpool looks mighty impressive this season but the same can't be said of MU.....still early season but I do hope to see the like of Bolton, Middlesbrough, Everton and Liverpool challenging the so called elite team....

...eager to see Rio Ferdinand and wayne Rooney to feature in the MU side and peobably Newcastle might spring a suprise too....

well, thats my Diary Diri for today....santaplah...wassalam...

Interesting story - ( forwarded e-mail)-

A jobless man applied for the position of "office boy" at Microsoft. TheHR manager interviewed him then watched him cleaning the floor as atest."You are employed" he said."Give me your e-mail address and I'll sendyou the application to fill in, as well as date when you may start. The man replied "But I don't have a computer, neither an email.""I'm sorry", said the HR manager,"If you don't have an email, thatmeans you do not exist. And who doesn't exist, cannot have the job."

The man left with no hope at all. He didn't know what to do, with only$10 in his pocket. He then decided to go to the supermarket and buy a10 kg tomato crate. He then sold the tomatoes in a door to door round. Inless than two hours, he succeeded to double his capital. He repeatedthe operation three times, and returned home with $60.The man realized that he can survive by this way, and started to goeveryday earlier, and return late Thus, his money doubled or tripledevery day. Shortly, he bought a cart, then a truck, then he had his ownfleet of delivery vehicles.

5 years later, the man is one of the biggestfood retailers in the US. He started to plan his family's future, anddecided to have a life insurance .He called an insurance broker, and chose a protection plan. When theconversation was concluded, the broker asked him his email. The manreplied, "I don't have an email ".The broker answered curiously, "You don't have an email, and yet havesucceeded to build an empire. Can you imagine what you could have been ifyou had an email?!!"The man thought for a while and replied, " Yes, I'd be an office boy atMicrosoft!"

Moral of the story M1- Internet is not the solution to your life. M2- If you don't have internet, and work hard, you can be a millionaire. M3- If you received this message by email, you are closer to being anoffice boy, than a millionaire... Have a great day

Minggu ke 3 September - 18/09/04

Minggu ini perkara yang agak significant ialah birthday childhood friend aku on the 15th...dia nei kawan dengan aku semenjak aku pandai jalan...saudara pun ia dan jiran pun ia jugak...macam adik beradik...susah senang aku sama dengan Z nei...dia tua pada aku setahun tapi nampak 10 tahun muda dari aku...minat dia bodybuilding and a very succesful businessman...enterprizing, very good looking, pemurah, funny, temperamental dan loyal pada friendship...kalau ada kawan yang sanggup mati untuk kawan, Z inilah orang yer....kawan melayan AF aku dan sebagainya...dulu kami bertiga dengan E tapi lar nei E agak jauh dari kami w'pun occasionally kami get together...kami dari kecik bersama w'pun sekolah lain-lain dan kemudian 2 dari sepupu aku S dan B masuk group kami menjadi 5 sekawan yang ke hulu ke hilir bersama...apa sajer aktiviti bersama dan kami ader jugak lepak jammimg...Z pandai main piano, E bass guitarist, B guitarist, S jadi manager dan normally we will get A untuk jadi drummer...tapi bila main band betul betul, aku band lain dan Z dan E masuk band lain...Z tak kaki bola macam the rest tapi in one district game, kami berjaya persuaded dia main bola...E dan S adalah yang amat kelakar dan kami tak pernah sunyi dengan hilai ketawa...expect B, the rest adalah juga ahli kumpulan berzanji dan marhaban dan Z adalah jaguh berzanji bila ada pertandingan berzanji aku jatuh nombor 2 dibelakang Z...

..ada satu kali tu bebudak nei pekenakan aku kat Wisma MCA yang ada technics punyer pertandingan menyanyi dan depa bawak aku pegi kata nak tengok instrument ...rupa rupa depa masukkan akan pertandingan nyanyi ala-ala minus one tuuu...aku dengan baju selekah naik pentas nyanyi lagu "What will I write on this of paper"..tajuk aku tak sure....siutttt...mengigil aku pegang mic ...bebudak tu siap bagi bunga...punyer lar haru....tak menang pun tapi dapat lar hadiah....wonder where's that ITM girl that won the 1st place....

...aku dengan Z tak pernah bergaduh dan aku nei tempat bebudak nei menggadu pasal girlfriend depa...so, aku kena layan depa , lepas tu dapat lar makan free....every night for almost 10 years we will have the same routine of gathering after maghrib, main gitar, pegi makan and lepas tu story time.....kalau aku balik lambat , semua dah tercegat depan rumah tunggu aku....those were the days of true friendship......pegi pub, nightclub, tengok bola, tengok wayang, mengorat, jadi penaggah kenduri..apa sajer, semua bersama....kadang kadang E clash dengan S or aku dengan B ada problem sikit tetapi jumpa mesti jumpa w'pun ada konfrantasi....kalau depa dating, aku lar jadi driver dah muhrim...semua girlfriend depa kenal muka aku....aku jenis tak kisah, layan yer bebudak nei dan depa pun comfortable dengan aku bila bawak awek depa...kalau depa nak pegi keluar jauh sikit, depa guna nama kau kat mak depa untuk dapat permission ...siuuttt betul, pas tu emak depa akan interview aku the detail.....

...bila dah berlima, semua jadi, tak der takut, tak der pantang.....parents pun tak tanya banyak sebab tau kami mesti berlima....masa abah aku meninggal last June, semua ada dan semua tunggu aku kat kubur lepas pengebumian dan rasa macam the great old days....aku dengan Z masih berjumpa setiap minggu kalu 2/3 kali seminggu, Z dan S selalu jugak jumpa tapi N dan B dah agak jauh tapi at least dengan B kalau ada hal kekeluargaan tu masih jumpa gak...

...we went alot together and it was quite a miracle that we stayed together as a team for such a long period of time....inilah kawan menangis dan ketawa dan bila ada kawan macam nei memang susah nak cari girlfriend sebab girlfriend pun hairan apa jadah kalu berdating sekali lima datang hantar...hehehe....kami tak pernah gaduh pasal pompuan or duit ....

Happy Birthday Z......I really admire you, care for you and love you so much...we had gone through a lot in life together and without your help, there were times that I may not survive this real world....alhamdullilah, Allah kurniakan aku sahabat seperti mu....aku doakan kau terus murah rezeki dan sihat walafiat sepanjang masa.....you are my blood brother....

7 reasons not to mess with a child

A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales. The teacher said itwas physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because eventhough it was a very large mammal its throat was very small. The littlegirl stated that Jonah was swallowed by a whale. Irritated, the teacherreiterated that a whale could not swallow a human; it was physicallyimpossible. The little girl said,"When I get to heaven I will ask Jonah". The teacher asked, "What if Jonahwent to hell?"The little girl replied, "Then you ask him".

A Kindergarten teacher was observing her classroom of childrenwhile they were drawing. She would occasionally walk around to see each child's work.As she got to one little girl who was working diligently, sheasked what the drawing was.The girl replied, "I'm drawing God. The teacher paused andsaid, "But no one knows what God looks like.""Without missing a beat, or looking up from her drawing, thegirl replied, "They will in a minute."

One day a little girl was sitting and watching her mother dothe dishes at the kitchen sink. She suddenly noticed that her mother had several strands ofwhite hair sticking out in contrast on her brunette head. She looked at her mother and inquisitively asked, "Why are someof your hairs white, Mom?"Her mother replied, "Well, every time that you do somethingwrong and make me cry or unhappy, one of my hairs turns white."The little girl thought about this revelation for a while andthen said, "Momma, how come ALL of grandma's hairs are white?"

The children had all been photographed, and the teacher was trying to persuade them each to buy a copy of the group picture."Just think how nice it will be to look at it when you are all grown up and say, 'There's Jennifer, she's a lawyer,' or'That's Michael, He's a doctor.'A small voice at the back of the room rang out, "And there's the teacher, she's dead."

A teacher was giving a lesson on the circulation of the blood.Trying to make the matter clearer, she said, "Now, class, if Istood on my head, the blood, as you know, would run into it,and I would turn red in the face...""Yes," the class said."Then why is it that while I am standing upright in the ordinary positions the blood doesn't run into my feet?" Alittle fellow shouted, "Cause your feet ain't empty."

The children were lined up in the cafeteria of a Catholicelementary school for lunch. At the head of the table was a large pile of apples. The nun made a note, and posted on the apple tray: "Take onlyONE. God is watching."Moving further along the lunch line, at the other end of thetable was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies.A child had written a note, "Take all you want. God is watching the apples.

It doesn't matter how many people you send this to, justremember if it made you laugh, your friends will laugh too!

RASULULLAH DENGAN SEBIJI LIMAU - ( forwarded e-mail)

BISMILLAHIRRAHMANIRRAHIM

..Suatu hari Rasulullah SAW didatangi oleh seorang wanita kafir. Ketika itubaginda bersama beberapa orang sahabat.

SIRAH PAGI JUMAAT-( forwarded e-mail )

Assalamua'laikum wrtb.

Sahabat bertanya: a Rasulullah!

I was watching the repeat Final Concert last night but I wasn’t as excited as the night before……however, I wish to share the above composition of mine that intended for Farah for the final concert…..I wrote the song after being persuaded by many but did not find the courage to submit the song for Astro’s consideration…needless to say, I don’t think this song was actually much better than ‘Tangisan Dalam Kerinduan’ but it has certain feel that may attract Farah outstanding high pitch….when I composed this song I had Farah in my mind all the way and to write this song that must not only suitable to Farah but powerful enough to give impact for the final event…therefore the song wasn’t the typical Ilham song but composed to suit Farah’s vocal prowess……

….after many listening I could hear a slight similarity in the early part of the song to the one of Ning Baizura’s “Selagi ada Cinta” but drifted away as the song develops and when it approaches the chorus , the chord progression moves from the more soothing major chord to the more familiar intense minor chords associated with Malay song….I still need to put the final touch to the song to have more commercially value……By the way, unlike my other composition, the lyrics of the song wasn’t mine but penned by someone else but probably need some adjustment/editing to suit the melody….

Farah Diana Anuar, if you were to read this writing, please accept this gift from me….maybe the title of the song did not reflect the storyline of the lyrics but I have decided there and then to title the song as such…..personally, I find this song beautiful and deserve to be sang by someone as beautiful as you too…..

MERM (MARS Exploration Rover Mission)-24th March 2004

The science of astronomy states that the speed of planet MARS has been decreasing in its course orbit toward the eastern direction in the few past weeks to the level we notice the "waver" between the east and the west, and on wednesday the 30th July 2004, expected the planet movement will stop going towards the eastern direction. Then in the months of August and September 2004, MARS will changed its course in the opposite direction to the west - and that until the end of September 2004. which means the sun will rise now from the west on MARS! This Weird phenomenon of the opposite movement called "Retrograde Motion". Most astronomy scientist states that all the planets in the universe will go through the same once at least and our planet EARTH is one of them. Planet Earth will move in the opposite direction someday and the sun will rise from the West!!!

This might occurs soon and we are aware of it.
Menurut Hadith Nabi saw. Rasullullah saw bersabda : " Salah satu tanda akhir zaman (Kiamat), apabila sampai masanya...matahari terbit disebelah barat.

Humour - ( forwarded e-mail)- enjoy!!!!

A little chuckle for today..

Marriage (Part I)
Typical macho man married typical good-looking lady and after the wedding,he laid down the following rules: "I'll be home when I want, if I want andat what time I want-and I don't expect any hassle from you. I expect agreat dinner to be on the table unless I tell you that I won't be home fordinner. I'll go hunting, fishing, boozing and card-playing when I want withmy old buddies and don't you give me a hard time about it. Those are myrules. Any comments?" His new bride said, "No, that's fine with me. Just understand that there will be sex here at seven o'clock every night...whether you're here or not." ( SHE'S GOOD!)

Marriage (Part II)
Husband and wife had a bitter quarrel on the day of their 40th wedding anniversary! The husband yells,"When you die, I'm getting you a headstone that reads, 'Here Lies My Wife - Cold As Ever.' "Yeah?" she replies. "Whenyou die, I'm getting you a headstone that reads,"Here Lies My Husband Stiff At Last.'"(HE ASKED FOR IT!)

Marriage (Part III)
Husband (a doctor) and his wife are having a fight at the breakfast table.Husband gets up in a rage and says, "And you are no good in bed either,"and storms out of the house. After sometime he realizes he was nasty and decides to make amends and rings her up. She comes to the phone after many rings, and the irritated husband says, "what took you so long to answer the phone?" She says, "I was in bed." "In bed this early, doing what?""Getting a second opinion!"(YEP, HE HAD THAT COMING, TOO!)

Marriage (Part IV)
A man has six children and is very proud of his achievement. He is so proud of himself, that he starts calling his wife," Mother of Six" inspite of her objections. One night, they go to a party. The man decides that it's time to go home and wants to find out if his wife is ready to leave as well. He shouts at the top of his voice, "Shall we go home 'Motherof six?" His wife, irritated by her husband's lack of discretion shouts right back, "Anytime you're ready, Father of Four."(RIGHT ON, LADY!) God may have created us (man) before woman but there is always a roughd raft before the masterpiece.

C@15 repeat of AF2 Concert - Week 9

...Last night I watched the re-run of Concert 9 at Channel@15 and the sudden rush of adrenaline could be felt ....I was then recollecting those tense moment that I went through during the actual week ninth concert.....at least last night I could feel so relax and enjoy the show without feeling extremely tense about Farah's survival...

.... Anding chatting did not really borders me as I sat back and watched the show attentively....there's a world of difference watching the show for sheer entertainment than watching with self-vested interest ( yeah, back then, only Farah's entry to final concerned me!!)...I realize now how fantastic Zahid's performance rendering the Cek Mek Molek number and how pretty Misha was in that orange top.....Zahid's interpretation of that song was marvellous to say the least and I thought he 'gelek mat Daud kilau' very well indeed....on the actual nite i could not really concentrate knowing Farah coming up next,Iremember wondering what could be done to outdo Zahid after his marvellous performance ( I would personally rate Zahid's performance on Concert 9 as the most entertaining if not the best performance in AF history).......feeling rather nervous with the fact that Farah was struggling to contain with "Mengapa" during the DAF, I remember myself "afundi" like crazy on that nite ...I could not recall how many but at least 500 votes for week excluding 80 that was not registered and was not even carry forward for the final week!!!....

Next came Farah to the fore and she looked elegant and feminine in the all white attire and her hairdo just suits her. She was a picture of confidence and elegance and despite being last again on the student chart, her composure was indeed beyond her youthful age....Farah was indeed the ultimate survivor in AF2.....Aznil was his usually self and trying to break the ice by saying " Sudahkah bersedia menjadi datin....( Farah looking perplexe) ...ialah Datin aku dah ada di bawah"...he was referring to Linda who was booted out last week and created bigger controversy towards the end of the show......Farah just flashing her smile but her signatured laughter yet to be heard tonight...the conversation was then directed to the DAF clips between Adam and Farah in a scene when Farah tried to downplay Adam's frustration of the song given to him..somehow, her maturity and coolness amazed everyone for someone so young and for someone that was unfairly labelled as " gedik" a few weeks earlier....

on actual concert 9 day, this was the moment that had me sweating because I could sense her concentration could be diverted by this FADAM issues....fortunately, Aznils' antics did not border her at all and her rendition of "Mengapa" was certainly the highlight of the night...one could hear the hoo and haa from the crowd acknowledging her vocal prowess and although he did not handle the mic as a true professional, she carefully monuevaured herself with some fantastic vocal control...that was beautiful Farah....you did the nation proud , you did your fan proud and indeed I was really excited and the feeling of relief overwhelm me as I jumped up and down calling my friends probably seeking recognition that Farah did well indeed.....I remember telling myself that by virtue of her performance, she deserved to be in the final but it didn't stop me from continuing with my 'afundi'....by week 9, I wasn't only an innocent bystander but perhaps an interested player in Farah's survival in AF2, dgn izin Allah though, ( but wish not to divulge much on this matter, suffice to say that I was indeed 'involved').....then the TV screen showing Ella clapping in awe of Farah's performance on the 'red carpet' , Anding making comments" caya lah Farah" and farah nyanyi lagu "Menagapa" nei best" to the dismay of his diehard fan waiting for him to reply to them...hehehe...Anding Anding !!!...

....Misha's comment was indeed fair and justify, but I was really pissed-off with this jalaluddin hasan 's supposedly forgetting Farah's name by mentioning Linda's and then Nurul's....that was really 'kurang ajar' of the highest order...really uncalled for and really left a bad taste to Farah and to people like me....take a hike you cassonava wannabe....to her credit, Farah remained her composure and amidst the stupidity of this overrated actor, Farah managed to stay in character and remained calm....the same can't be applied to yours truly though..hehehe....Khudsia Kahar was a bit generous with her comments on Farah and after the 'lupa lirik insiden' the previous , she should be more generous or else!!!.....HHuuuhhhh!! that's over and I was indeed glad that the torture of expectation was finally over....

...then came to rest of the cast and ending eith the bonus song " Greatest Love of All"...perhaps her performance during this song that cemented her place in the final....

...and the annoucement !!.....actually night concert 9, i could not dare to watch this moment and I walked out of my house and waited patiently for some good news ......after awhile I hear a sudden silence from inside the house and I was curious and walked in and suddenly I saw farah and Kaer side by side and I was wondering what the hell was this.....apparent Bob made the cut and Farah was upon with Kaer to hear the verdict, I braved myself to listen to the annoucement and I was really shivering and though I was quite confident that Farah will make it but still i was so damn nervous.....finally it's over, Farah and Kaer made the cut too.. I was really happy and then the phone started to ring as I received congratulation after congratulation from my friends....hehehe...macam lar Farah tu bini aku !!!..huhuhu....the rest was history....the AFMASUK was really sickening and perhaps taken the shine away from a marvellous Concert 9.......but last night, I was a bit forgiving and I just sat and watched as Linda grinning when the announcement was made...Pooh - Key- Mark was the word i uttered during the actual concert 9 nite but last nite I just watched and wondered what would the outcome be if not for AFMASUK....manusia merancang Allah jua yang menentukan...later the night, FFCs should know what to do after concert and didn't sleep that night watching the movement of the student percentage chart and remembering that I hope I made myself justice with this piece of ********........

....Farah, thanks for the memory of Concert 9 and you did well babeh...you did really well.....so back to discovery channel for some interesting new findings!!!

Toman Fish Draw Attention With Unsual Jawi Markings

Rawang : The Rawang Anglers Park Houses what it believes to be the only six channa mfcropllies(ikan Toman) in the worldwith Jawi marking on their bodies.Five of the Toman had the markinngs on their bodies while onehad the markings on the top of its head.
The park's owner, datuk Mohd Abdullah Abdul Kadir, claimed the markings the JAWI words Allah Allah Allah, Laillahaillallah( There is no God but Allah) Ya Allah Ya Malik( Oh Allah Oh Lord) Bismillahhirahmanirrahim( In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful) and Allah.

Mohd Abdullah who has been breeding Toman for the past 10 years said his workers discovered the fish while harvesting one of the breeding ponds behind the park area. The fish, ranging from 15 to 22 kg in weight are of the snake head species and are kept in special holding tanks at the parkd for display. However, Mohd Abdullah said , one of the Tomans with the markings of Laillahaillah had died earlier due to lack of oxygen in its tank."I had been offered RM100,000 to sell the fish when it was alive but did not do so"hesaid.

Mohd Abdullah said he would be sending the dead Toman to be preserved and planned to donate it to the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur. He also said he planned to donate the remaining Toman to the Saudi Arabian embassy to be displayed at the masjidil Haram in Mecca.Mohd Abdullah said the magnificient Toman fish are also very aggresive." One of the fish recently broke the glass panel of a tank. The glass is 13mm thick. We also have to tie down the top of the other tanks to prevent the fish jumping out."

Mohd Abdullah said one of the surviving Toman was unique as it was shaped like a sea horse. However he expressed concern over the fish as all were quite sick.Mohd Abdullah said the public could view the unique fish at the part situated at Lot 3021, batu 17, Rawang. Santapan ilmu - ( forwarded e-mail)-

Assalamu'alaikum wbt,

Untuk pengajaran dan peringatan kepada kita semua. Insyallah.

Belanjawan Negara - Harga Rokok Naik Lagi ?!!

.....aku protes kenaikan rokok yang mendadak ini dengan melupakan niat aku untuk berhentu merokok atas dasar prinsip.....let me be stupid for this particular issue but the ongoing trend of taking advantage of smokers for political mileage is a bit too much...

...long live smokers....I have not heard smokers killing another human beings for cigarettes but I have heard drunkard, gamblers, drug addicts killing others to satisfy their bad habits but not innocent smokers......

IN THE MEMORY OF MY BELOVED FATHER

Today is the 100 days of the death of my beloved father. How fast time travels since that everything seemed to happen last week.

He died peacefully with his family members by his side and was able to recite the ‘shahadah’ before his last breath. The prayer and the burial services went smoothly and I pray to Allah for His merciful to protect the soul of my father in the life hereafter.

I have a kind of love hate relationship with my father and somehow we were never able to see eye to eye in many things. Nevertheless, during his final couple of days , I never failed to be by his side although we didn’t speak much.

Until now, I couldn’t find the reason why he could not get along very well I just hope the he forgave me before he died; that was my pray to Allah swt even before he succumbed to his illness.

There were times that he will just ignore each other me for days and perhaps me being the son should acted differently during those tense moment but perhaps it was a bit too late to change things now .After awhile, I got used to it but we will never failed to exchange sword/word from time to time and both being fiery character did not help the cause either.

Maybe my father did not like my outspoken style, maybe I have said something that hurts his feeling to an extend his could not forgive me but refused to tell the reason.

Nevertheless, he was a great father that emphasize on the need for his children to have proper education. He allows expression of feelings and ideas in the house, he protects the family and he was full of life and love….

Although our relationship was not that pretty, indeed we had our good times especially when I was growing up…he was always there when I need him and he was supportive of my interest in sports and music. He will quietly watch me play football from afar and made comments afterwards….he and my mom bought my first small battery powered organ when they saw my interest in music….my dad and mom bought me my first motorbike that I still have until now….he will send and fetch me from school during my primary days and he was good for a laugh and although he caught me smoking but advised me to make sure that I will not do anything silly with my life….

He wasn’t a bad father but perhaps I was not the type son that he expected me to be….I have never failed to pray for him since the last 100 days I will continue to pray for my father until my last breathe..insyallah….

I love you Abah…I do and I am sorry for being the son I was…Al-fatihah

The Phenomenon of Azan

This piece of interesting article was sent to me via e-mail and I feel oblige to publish in my blog such a fantastic observation and/or discovery the beauty of Azan....to the original writer for an amazing mind in substantiating the truth of Islam....

Amazing as it sounds, but fortunately for the Muslims of the world, it is an established fact. Have a look at a map of the world and you will findIndonesiaon the eastern side of the earth. The major cities of Indonesiaare Java, Sumatra, Borneo and Saibil. As soon as dawn breaks on the easternside of Saibil, at approximately 5:30 am local time, FajarAzan begins.Thousands of Muadhinsin Indonesia begin reciting the Azan. The process advances towards West Indonesia. One and a half hours after theAzan has been completed in Saibil, it echoes in Jakarta. Sumatrathenfollows suit and before this auspicious process of calling Azan ends inIndonesia, it has already begun in Malaysia. Burmais next in line, andwithin an hour of its beginning in Jakarta, it reaches Dacca, the capitalcity of Bangladesh. After Bangladesh, it has already prevailed in westernIndia, from Calcuttato Srinagar. It then advances towards Bombay and theenvironmentof entire India are sounds with this proclamation. Srinagar andSialkot(a city in north Pakistan) havethe same timing for Azan. The timedifference between Sialkot, Quetta, and Karachiis forty minutes, and withinthis time, FajarAzan is heard throughout Pakistan. Before it ends there, ithas already begun in Afghanistan and Muscat. The time difference betweenMuscatand Baghdadis one hour. Azan resounds during this one hour in theinvironments of Hijaaz-e-Muqaddas(Holy cities of Makkah and Madinah),Yemen,United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Iraq. The time difference between Baghdad and Alexandria in Egyptis again onehour. Azan continues to resound in Syria, Egypt, Somalia and Sudan duringthis hour. The time difference between eastern and western Turkey is oneanda half hours, and during this time it is echoed with the call to prayer.Alexandria and Tripoli(capital of Libya) are located at one hour'sdifference. The process of calling Azan thus continues throughout the wholeof Africa. Therefore, the proclamation of the Tawheed and Risaalat that hadbegun in Indonesia reaches the Eastern Shoreof the Atlantic Ocean afternine and half hours. Prior to the Azan reaching the shores of the Atlantic, the process of DhuhrAzan has already started in east Indonesia, and beforeit reaches Dacca, AsarAzan has started. This has hardly reached Jakartaone and half hours later, the time ofMaghrib becomes due, and no sooner has Maghrib time reached Sumatra, thetime for calling IshaAzan has commenced in Saibil! When the muadhins ofIndonesia are calling out FajarAzan, the African Muadhinsare calling theAzan for Isha.If we were to ponder over this phenomenon thoughtfully, we would concludethe amazing fact that there is not even a single moment when hundreds ofthousands of Muadhins around the world are not calling the Azan on thesurface of this earth.Even as you read this material right now, you can be sure there are atleastthousands of people who are hearing and calling the Azan!!!Please pass this message to as many people as you can. JazakAllah.

Maaf aku katakana bahawa aku melihat kemelut politik ini dari sudut secular maka the ends justify the means …tetapi kita tidak harus menafikan bahawa development of Islam in the this modern civilization could aonly triumph with the shifting of political power from the jews or non-muslim to Islam or the Muslims.

wassalam

My own Composition - Part Two

Khabarnya

Berlalu Sedetik Irama Syahdu
Menyentuh Onak Hatinya
Menyingkap Membisik Hari Yang Lalu
Si Dia Yang Telah Tiada, Apakah Khabarnya

Memori Kini Tinggal Memori
Tergapai Dalam Lamunan
Gerhana Kabus Melanda Diriku
Melara Hidup Sendiri
Itulah Khabarku

*
Khabarnya Kau Kini Punya Pengganti
Bahagia Bersama Hidup Berdua
Khabarnya Kau Punya Cahaya mata
Menawan Seperti Kau Jua

Andainya kau Masih Menggingatiku
Sudilah Memberi Khabar
Sebagai Penyambung Persahabatan
Walaupun Tiada Ikatan
Indahnya Khabar, Sayang

I composed this song on one rainy afternoon when I was feeling slightly down. The ‘ilham’ just came out of sudden and I started penning the lyrics. Still remember it was raining heavily and I was alone in my room looking outside the window as I scrummed my guitar away.

The melody began to progress as I started jotting down the chord in order not to forget it. As the melody slowly constructed I began to imagine the situation I would be in years to come and started to write the lyrics which could be half-truth and half-fiction. It took probably less than an hour for me to develop this song. I started running to one of my best friend rooms (I have so many best friends ) , another music enthusiast and in fact we teamed up a few times to play for the student function, and woke him up and told me to listen to this particular composition. He wasn’t interested but I decided to sing it out loud. He nodded in agreement and went to sleep….hehehe..so much of being my best friend….

..I went back to my room and started to improve the chord arrangement and omit or add certain words to get the right feeling to the song. Oh yeah!! That night I played the song to my ‘regulars’ and it was an instant hit and sort of the national anthem amongst my friend and until this very day I would be force to sing the song every time we met.

That song was the symbol of our friendship and those connected to me will understand the feelings , moment of togetherness, love and friendship that we shared together in our quest to achieve our academic dreams. I still remember the Night I played this song in front of a big crowd for the grand opening of the new varsity hall and the emotion and the satisfaction was tremendous. It was my night indeed and judging by the new female admirers I ‘collected’ after was the testimony of the glitter of the night ….hehehe…

My own Composition - Part One

Di manakah hati mu , dimanakah cintamu

Ingin aku menyelami
Dunia percintaanku ini
Mengharapkan kasih
Agar dapat diterima

Kau lah gadis yang ku beri
Segala yang ada pada diriku
Tapi hingga kini tidak pernah dihargai

Kasihku kepada mu
Kuserahkan jiwaku
Sayangku nyatakanlah
Rahsia dihatimu

Di manakah cintamu
Di manakah hatimu
Kuharapkan kepadaku

Tak relaku, kehilangan
Dirimu dalam kehidupanku
Kerna hanya engkau
Yang harap dalam hidup ku ini

Oh yes, I was barely 18 and learning the pain of being in love . I was on my motorbike back home from school when the ‘ilham’ for this song came alive. I would say that this song was inspired by Adam Ahmad’s “ Kau Pergi Jua” although the chord progression resembling “Belaian Jiwa”. As the melody started to get its feel, I speed up to reach my house and straight to my keyboard and within minutes the song completed.

It didn’t take much longer to construct the lyrics being in the state of ‘angau’ I was then…hehehe…This song was and perhaps still very popular within my childhood friends and they actually made it famous to many local higher learning institution as we split to further our studies.

I remember taken aback when one my friend’s colleague sang this song in front of me without knowing that I was the composer of the song. Not knowing what to do with my new found love , I decided to tape this song and gave it to her and told her to listen and keep it….well, it didn’t really work as planned but worth a try….

The advantage of able to play music and/or writing song/lyrics that one could produce a piece of memorabilia that was personal-to-holder and that gives special satisfaction for eternity….

Jenaka Jumaat

Forwarded to me recently....enjoy!!

Subject: [koolgeng] Fw: Panjat Pokok (18 SX)

Seorang budak kecil sedang memanjat pokok mangga ditepi rumahnya, tetiba

Tok penghulu : Hey budak, lain kali kalau nak memanjat pokok, pakai seluar

senonoh betul.

Selepas selesai membebel tok penghulu menyeluk poketnya dan mengambil wang
lalu berkata :

Malaysian Idol ??

After some persuasion from my childhood friends , I decided to take a listen to the Malaysia Idol concert last week. I was told the contestants were of a better vocal ability compared to AF and my expectation was definitely very high indeed . I was even cautioned that the critics could be very cruel indeed too.

I admittedly saw some footages or clips of MI’s auditioning and so forth but never able to watch the live concert and perhaps did not really interested since I have devoted half of my life for the entire 10 weeks of AF2.

Needless to say I was able to talk myself to watch the event last week and it appeared to be the rock week, which only meant that rock song would be the feature of the night. It was nice to see Roslan Aziz in ‘songkok’ and Anang invited as the guest critic for the week.

I was reminded by my childhood friend of the vocal prowess of some of the contestants especially of the female gender. The opening gimmick was quite interesting and the two young emcees caught my attention soon enough.

However, after a couple of singers and some discontentment amongst the critics, I felt wanting to change the TV channel saved for some encouragement by my friends that the best had been saved for last….well, what the hack, the agony watching the singers and critics was too much until this talented lace by the name of Jac or was it Jake ….she was quite an amazing singer and she impressed me a lot. I would consider her good enough to reach the final 5 for AF2. She reminded me of Fantasia of the American Idol and I thought her rendition of that Gun N Roses song was superb.

I can’t help myself comparing MI and AF and I would say that vocal wise, the top 8 AF2 were much better and the concept of AF was indeed more suitable to Malaysian audience and the critics were not really up to it. The shorter time given to MI contestants to render their songs did not really help me to really gauge the real singing talent of the contestants and the rather rude assessment by the critics were not really my cup of tea.

Overall, I could not see any other contestants triumph over Jac/Jake and she was miles away in sheer talent and class. Personally, it was unfortunate that she did not choose AF to jump-start her career because it would be interesting how she would fair in different kind songs week in and week out AF2 style.

IIWNM, some of the contestant were indeed AF2 rejects since I believe I have seen some of them during the C@15 re-run of the ‘ujibakat’ for AF2, I could be wrong.

However, I was fortunate to witness a new Juara Kugiran kind of talent show over RTM 2 that was based on sms popularity vote plus juror verdict. Some nicely assembled band showcasing their talent and I was indeed entertained. Being a musician wannabe myself, I could relate to this show much easier and seeing some familiar faces jamming to their fullest potential really was exhilarating….I would not want to miss this show again….it somehow remind me of those yesteryears when I enjoyed jamming with friends for hours and some of my jamming partners really made it to the top…It was fun indeed though I wasn’t discipline enough to spend hours after hours to practice one single song….Later I team-up with 2 seasoned musician and we managed to get a contract in Johor to play in one resort hotel for 3 months….I couldn’t get myself away from KL and decided to decline the offer to the frustration of my fellow band members…the thought of making a living through music was not an agenda to me then though I love music a lot and looking back, I am glad I didn’t take that route since it would have been difficult to get out of the music circle once you were in it…..it didn’t stop me from pursuing my love for music though...….

..I remember one night club band belonging to my friend, never failed to sing my composition that I didn’t send to the local label and regulars even thought it was the band’s original number….I always dream about playing solo during the night at some local hotel’s lobby but never really pursue those dreams and though I still play my keyboard to entertain myself, I missed those days I jammed for sheer love of music and making new friends wherever I went. It was nice though to see fellow jamming partners making to the very top in local band scene and indeed some of those playing that night in the Kugiran contest was indeed familiar faces.

Well, I could still strike a number in some karaoke session that made heads turn but I guess priority of life changes too from time to time. It was fun but life isn’t only about fun , I guess…..

Delightful TV Characters

Characters in TV

The last couple of weekends I was able to relax myself in front of the television and able to watch some delightful TV characters that really caught my attention.

I found myself watching one children TV series “Even Steven” and I was taken to like that character ‘Joey’ ( IIWNM) in the series. A beautifully developed character of a young kid experiencing the growing pain within his circle of friends. In this particular episode he was potraying as a person trying hard to convince his good friend not to enter an audition that will see successful candidate enrolling into a prestigious school of Performing Act and in the process of doing that he annoyed` his beautiful and charming sweetheart who decided to enter the audition just to prove a point to him.

Watching his girlfriend auditioning , he managed to get himself a wildcard opportunity to showcase his talent and his performance was so funny that in the process making a fool of himself. His girlfriend was touched by his antics and realized that he did that in order to impress her and probably saying how sorry he was for being such a fool. Joey’s character was nicely scripted and the acting was fantastic that remind me of a similar children character in Wonder Years.

I was also able to watch this malay drama “ Cinta seorang penggali kubur”( IIMNM) and though I only started watching half-day through to drama, it was sufficient enough to convince me of the beautifully written character of the ‘penggali kubur’ played by Nasir Bilal Khan.

The other TV character that always able to excite me is of those mafias mobsters. I just find these mobsters characters fascinating and the life surrounding the so called ‘ family’ really intriguing. The politics, the power struggle, the close-knit mafia member s, the loyalty of the followers to their godfather, the violence and the romance associated with the story of these mafias.I could not remember the title of the story where Al Pacino played the leader of one of the mafias ring and how he climbed to the top and finally killed by his nemesis. It was such a memorable movie and Al Pacino as mafia’s boss definitely a must watch event.

Journal 6/9/04

What a way to start a new week.

After the euphoria of Anwar Ibrahim’s released from jail over the weekend, my expectation for this week was definitely positive regardless of the rather disappointing England’s 2-2 draw result against Austria for the World Cup qualifying match on Saturday.

So Monday was supposed to be my busiest day of the week and I ended up in a Dental Clinic…hehehe…swollen and bleeding gum was actually my problem and I was treated for more than an hour to fix my problem. It was terrible feeling to wake-up in the morning feeling unbearable pain and as I struggled to contain the pain I went to see the Dentist and after 2 injections I under feel anything anymore as the doctor treated my problem.

It was quite a painful experience and at this point of writing, I could not actually eat the way I used to but at least the unbearable pain has gone. This is another reminder that how the cycle of life travels from one end: an appointment with the Dentist never crossed my mind as I started my weekend buoyant by Anwar’s news.

There’s such a thin line between happiness and sorrow or between life and death and the agony I went through taught me a simple lesson not to take life for granted and perhaps to loosen up a bit.

I did not manage to see off Anwar Ibrahm at KLIA but I was told it was quite an occasion. I was glad to see so many people giving him a great sending-off and I pray to Allah that the rather risky operation will be a successful one.

Welcome Home Anwar

...6 years ago I was one of the couple of hundred or probably less people that brave the night that were present at his house to show support to Anwar when he was ousted from the government. Perhaps not many were willing to openly support Anwar on the 1st nite he moved back to his residence after being literally pushed out from the official residence of the DPM. So much so, I was able to shake hand with him and uttered " think like a politician and amalkan ayat alamnasroh banyak banyak"....I told him to think like a politician because I could sense then that he was trying to play "union leader" or " ulamak" role to clear his name of the so called wrongdoings that were alleged against him when I truly believed what transpired was purely political.....I continue to make myself present at his residence for the next couple of nights to show support and stop my visit when it was obvious that the crowd getting bigger and bigger everyday...I remember feeling satisfied seeing more and more people willingly showing support and thus by responsibility to make the crowd looked big the few previous nights was over....

....last night, after a lapse of six years, I was back there at Anwar's house expressing my joy and happiness to his return......unlike then, the house was full with well wishers from all walks of life...i could not enter the house area and settle myself just outside the house entrance....from there I could hear some people making speeches.....I wasn't really impressed with what they have to say and I thought that rather fiery and provocative speeeches were not appopriate for the occasion...Feeling rather disgruntled, I move away towards the main road and start observing the many people coming and going ....

.....this is a historic event that shook the world , not since Nelson Mendela that we have a political prisoner so highly revered throughout the world....

..I was never then or even now a big fan of Anwar...what made me came to his house to show support to him some 6 years ago was because I sincerely believed he was a victim of some political power game, he was sacked against the principle of natural justice and I was there as a fellow 'brother' and ummah....

..last night I was there to express my respect for his patience, perseverance and persistence throughout his ordeal and one could help but respect his attitude and surviving power during 6 years of predicament....

...for 6 years , I never failed to express my support to Anwar through the many political forums especially soc.cul.malaysia and I am sure now that those that ridicule lalu's stand on Anwar will now appreciate the reason i went the distance to show my support to Anwar...

....I am excited of the turn of event but I would rather see Anwar going to Germany soonest and get a proper treatment and rest before making any political move or whatever...

...welcome home Anwar Ibrahim.....

Anwar Bebas

yes, alhamdullilah..just got the news that the Appeal Court overturned the decision of the High Court ruling against Anwar thus freeing Anwar from all charges of sodomy...

....after 6 years of imprisonment, Anwar , dgn izin Allah swt, freed at last....saya macam tak percaya bila menerima panggilan telefon pertama tadi yang informed me of the good news followed by the many more calls seeking confirmation!!..macam aku nei PA Anwar!!!huhuhu....

..I sincerely hope that Anwar will take a good quality rest, get the right treatment and then becomes a significant force again in the survival of the Malays and Malaysia in general....

...Please take your time to decide on your next move, political or otherwise, and as you next journey towards the premiership of the country, do take into consideration the sacrifice of the small people ( people like me and they are million of us) that supported you undividedly during your predicament....no one asked us or forced us to support you and hopefully our sincere support to you during the your difficult time will not be forgotten in relation to your next political move....

...I predict that all those ridiculous sex crimes related to the malays/muslims i.e incest of the highest order, sex related crimes and etc, will stop with your release because I truly believe that the cause of the crime was a 'bala' from Allah for the 'fitnah' against you based on sex offences......

welcome back Anwar Ibrahim....

Journal 2/9/04

Susah nak jaga blog nei yerk!!....but this is the kind of toy that I love alot....except that I can't write that well....what the hack!!!huhuhu...

Okay ...this week is the kind of week i love alot some 5/6 years ago...meetings, target , deadlines and so forth...now, I just don't feel that those elements excite me as much as before....still I have to attend to those requirement, regardless....

Two things I have to remember this month...my childhood friend birthday and definitely Farah...hehehehe....never say die babeh..never give up and never follow the crowd, better late than never, better die trying than die standing...with that kind of spirit how could Farah resist yours truly...certainly indeed....

Okay, expecting a rainy month for September, good football in EPL, Um-No's convention, plenty of work and boring weekend bcoz no AF...hoping for better luck with Farah ...huhuhu...and a good month overall

Merdeka ?!!!

MERDEKA

M – Malaysia is the name of the country
E - Ethnics unity within diversification in racial cultural and norms
R - Religious freedom with Islam as the official religion
D - Democracy in practice
E - Equal opportunity within the context of the constitution
K - Kingdom of happiness and harmonious

Happy Merdeka Day.....

Whilst we appreciate the stability and prosperity of the country, lets not forget that the road ahead may not be that easy without commitment and perseverance.

As we approach the half-century of independency, lets reflect and recollect our achievement and shortcomings of the last 5 decades to ensure we are on the right track towards achieving our mission.

The Malays should not take Merdeka for granted since the rights of the Malays diminishing every passing day and without careful planning and hardwork,we will end-up like Bosnia Herzegovina.

The Muslims must put more effort to ensure that Islam will be the basis of religion in the country.

Lets not forget that this country was previously known as Tanah Melayu and the word Malay in Malaysia is a clear indicator of the true owner of this country.

Respect other religions and races but love your own more than anything else or otherwise you will be squatting forever in the land you conveniently called your own.

Hate or deprive others, not, but keep your rights as yours forever

I treasure Kemerdekaan, I love Malaysia but the survival of the Malays and Islam is my utmost agenda.

47 years of Kemerdekaan means nothing to the Malays if we have do not progress in the area of socio economy….
